Past couple of days whizzed by in a frenzy of shuffling between home, lab, the Science clubroom and the field. It was definitely tiring as we tried out games for the actual SOW camp. While most of the games are innovative and fun, they must be improved on the points awarding system, the time allocation as well as the logistics required. It was a novel experience for me to be filmed, since we had to do a video introduction of the characters we have to roleplay in accordance to the storyline the program comm had churned out. Camera shy as I always am, my mind blanked out and I froze when its my turn.Today was a blast. Heavens have no mercy on us as it poured in the midst of us trying the wet and dirty games. What may turn out to be a wet blanket became the opposite. Since we were already dirty, we were like "why not?" and we allowed ourselves to be drenched in the torrential rain. The aftermath was not difficult to guess. A bunch of shivering and soaked to the skin people walking back to science under the curious gaze of the NUS staff. Video taking was on later and it ended just a little while ago. It would be the finale tomorrow and would conclude at Sentosa. While exhausted, no one seems to be in the mood to sleep, as they engage in one of the comm's favourite pastime - HTHT. Anyways, I have plenty of admiration for this committee. To bring together 26 people and have them work together is no easy feat. And to have them bond to this extent, is something worth labeling as an achievement. To my knowledge as of now, there arent any bad blood within the committee and every meeting is filled with laughter. |
