The year 2008 is soon over in 3 hours. It has been an uninteresting year, except the sole memorable event: the liberation of the sadsignallers from the abominable and hellish camp. It is certainly a pity the life of these sadsignallers isnt portrayed in a local soap drama. With the shenanigans, conspiracy theories, inept commanders at the rule of a tyrant, it would definitely be serious contender for the best drama serial at the star awards. That was in February and yet I have wasted the rest of the year.Why so? Two years of National Servitude(NS) has ruined and destroyed any sane portion of my mind. I lack the drive to study anymore. The apparent 'tiongs' invasion into the university made it worse. They dont have to serve and get the opportunity to study. I feel injustice and its not just me alone. What now? Of course I have to put up with this. No degree equate to no career. Although having one doesnt warrant a job offer, it just improves your chances at getting one. I have no resolutions for the year ahead. Why bother making resolutions when you dont fulfil them? I just hope my op in May goes well. Thursday, December 25, 2008, 9:54 AM

It was the exam frenzy last couple of weeks and I didnt have the mood to blog. It soon died down and yet Im too lazy to update since I have much more to do!Anyway Im extremely grateful to Jian Yun who completed stand chart 08 for me with a splendid timing of 4 hours 30 mins and now the pressure is on me to maintain the standard or even improve on it. I would have about a year to train, which is more than enough. Was planning to try for sundown 42 (no ultra for me ever, its suicide for the legs), but it would probably clash with my op, newly scheduled on the 15th may. Congrats to Luqi and Yaokun for completing the race! I hope we'll recruit more to join us! Chee come! |
