Night cycling during the last weekend was fun-filled. It must be so since Yaokun was around, and almost all jokes revolved around him and his new-found girlfriend codenamed "waffles".

We went from East Coast - Changi - Tampines - East Coast - Suntec - Esplanade - East Coast.

But the highlight was the "Search for Derrick" operation, which came about because of Yaokun's superior and unique way of giving directions. He even had the audacity to say all the rest of us were wrong. Now I know the reason why he didnt make it to command school.

Picture a scenario where Yaokun leads a platoon to the objective which is straight ahead. From intel reports, Yaokun knows there's a mg post stationed in front of the objective. He plans to make a detour to the right. Instructions from a normal person would be something like "Detour to your right". But from yaokun's way of giving directions, he instructs them to continue straight, sending them to their deaths.

Anyway we did enjoyed ourselves, other than the incredibly sore thighs. Here are some of the pictures I took using my K850i. The quality sucks, because I suck at using a camera.

Just returned from a birthday party of a JC friend. His exact birthday wasnt today, but the celebrations were brought forward because he is flying to University of Manchester on the 17th to read law.

I met a friend's friend, who is currently studying pharmacy in NUS. I asked him his grades out of curiosity and guess what? He has exactly the same grades as I did. What is more infuriating is that he got it on his third try. Apparently, some 10 blockheads abandoned the course at the last minute. Seriously, why hogged the places when they have intentions to study somewhere else?

I had this 'cant be bothered' attitude at that point in time so I didnt attempt the third application. Sighh... I have to do with chemistry. And maybe it might not turn out to be that bad after all.

I never thought this would happen to me, but I was a witness to a grotesque accident today. A trailer truck collided from the back with an elderly, I cant really discern the gender but that's irrelevant, who was on a bike. Continue reading at your own risk!

I didnt really witness the actual accident. It was when the bus I was on moved past the site that I saw the victim, his/her head lying in a pool of blood. I have never seen so much blood before. And there was this piece of body part (not really sure what it is, it is flesh-coloured with dashes of red), I cant really make out what it is and I didnt plan to, lying near the victim.

This reminds me of my close shave with an accident myself. I was driving the army landrover, candyboy was my V-Com, when I entered a slip road at 50km/h. It was suicidal considering the turning radius of the rover was wide. I entered the opposing traffic lane. Fortunately, that stretch of road was relatively deserted, and there was hardly any vehicles. Otherwise, okay I dont want to think what would have happened to me, other than a sentence to DB.

And there was this time in ROC when I beat the red light, YoYo was the V-Com and was snoozing as usual. Fatigue from long hours of driving sets in and I didnt notice the light. Luck was with me when this car whizzed by, and I missed him by a hair's breadth. When I relate the incident to YoYo, he answered with nonchalance, "Hur, really ar? I didnt know."

It seems like I do not possess the capability to operate a vehicle without doing harm to others and myself. The human life is so fragile and I do not wish to shatter any.

I blog now, after an difficult long day of revision. My progress? A failed attempt at my nanoworld tutorial (Its physics!)and maths tutorial 3 (Its integration we've learnt in JC, but I have long forgotten those), a almost completed CM 1111 tutorial with just 1 question left, and a CM 1111 lab report. It isnt fantastic, considering this is the conclusion of the fourth week and there're still heaps of lecture notes for me to go through and hopefully understand.

A friend told me guys in general are more devoted to studies since we had a 2 years rest. I wouldnt call it rest but it does make us appreciate the opportunity to study more. Well, between the choice of having to endure arduous night marches and study late through the night, which one would you choose? I would choose the latter without hesitation.

As what our math lecturer reminded, a third of the semester is gone. Can you imagine that? Time passes at a incredible blazing fast pace in university! So its a snack time for me and back to staring at notes crammed with tiny prints. Happy mugging!
