Attended my first ever tutorial in university today and I should say the experience was not that bad. However the presence of black sheep is inevitable. I would have to mention this particular guy who thinks his knowledge of calculus is superior to others, and even match that of the tutor, or even better I suppose. The tutor was about to sketch the graph of sin (1/x) squared when he exclaimed 'Sir, sin (1/x) squared is always positive' even before he commenced drawing. I assumed he is too enthusiastic to boast his unsurpassed intellect. The tutor was blur at times, making some minor careless mistakes, but in my opinion he makes a great tutor, reminding us some minor details we should be careful of when attempting questions, so much so that those minor flaws could be disregarded. To my 'beloved' classmate, I urged you to keep rein of yourself. Be selfish for once cause we dont need your reminders and what not. We arent impressed at all. Rather we are disgusted by your conceited behaviour. Oh you remind me of someone I know during my 2 years of army. (Chee I think you know who this person is) Thank you very much 99 days to rebirth Tuesday, August 19, 2008, 10:13 PM
My training for standard chartered this year has ceased even before it began. It was unexpected my surgery was scheduled on the 3rd Dec, admission on the 2nd. Unless I could gain some mystical healing powers and recovered by 7th Dec, I would have to forfeit the race. Anyone willing to run? I'll hate to see 40 bucks go down the drain.105 days to rebirth Wednesday, August 13, 2008, 11:28 PM
I was thinking about the modules Im taking this semester during a boring lecture this morning and it dawned on me I had screwed up my bidding big time. Why? First, I only managed to successfully bid for 4 modules, when the recommended is 5, and what more Im doing double majors. This would mean I have to study during special term or take 6 modules in semester 2 to compensate. Second, I should have dumped all my remaining programme points (597) to bid for freshman seminar when it is still protected and do business modules only in the second semester. Its one of the hot favourite module since there's no final exams and it counts towards fulfilling faculty requirement. Bids in the subsequent semesters would go sky high. Not to mention I failed my bids for business modules as well. Third, when round 2A ended I only had 3 modules. I panicked and bidded for GEK 1509, Introduction to Nanoworld. Little did I know the lecturer has no prior experience in teaching this module, and he has apparent speech difficulties which I had to take time to understand what he was talking about. Worse, I have to do a term paper(project) about 25-35 pages long. I have no idea how Im going to complete this assignment when I already have trouble writing 2 pages of essay in JC. My first semester is in a mess. What a great way to start university. Sunday, August 10, 2008, 10:45 PM
I bid farewell sadly to my slothful alter ego as school finally commences. I have doubts to cope after almost a 3 year hiatus from utilizing my mind.Thursday, August 07, 2008, 5:10 PM
![]() 2008 Science Orientation Week House Jappai Ally Koreaniyo Orientation Group Near The four days three nights camp was almost a week ago but again as you people know me, procrastination remains one of my flaw, a blemish which I've been trying very hard to correct, but to no avail. Hopefully the hectic schedule in university will knock some sense into me before its too late. I did some things that I never in my life done before. Not those you are thinking of, you perverts I did not get laid! I ate bugs, I dont know what those were but they resemble crickets and some larvae. Dead ones. Not much flavour except for the faint taste of salt. There were dried frogs too but that was too gross. We also had to use our mouth to pick out clothe pegs from a basin filled with a generous amount of mealworms. My attention span is running short and to conclude I'll show you the aftermath of an intense session of a icebreaker game called 'MRT' ![]() |
