Booking in camp is getting better in one way and worse in the other. Our sergeant is starting to get a bit more humane most probably because of his imminent ORD sometime next year in March. It was a vast difference compared to when we first stepped into 4 SIR. Then, we would get f**ked (in army terms) in whatever we do. We lived in constant fear, not knowing when he would flare up and punish us. The stress was unbearable. However, the present him now would 'tok cock' with us properly. It seems that the barrier between him and us wore down over time. The bad part was the training. I have mentioned before that our CSM is personally taking over our 5BX. We have to further endure route marches, more PT sessions etc. The route marches were nothing like those in BMT. We have to climb stairs and carry additional loads. CO announced that we would be departing for Brunei on 2nd or 3rd of Dec and only return on 19th or 20th Dec, just in time for Christmas. Not that I celebrate Christmas but its good to be back home on such a joyous occasion. I've been appointed line detachment driver. That would mean I'm going for the 1 month rover course! I have a briefing tomorrow and the course would commence on the 18th this month. Class 3 license here I come! =) 478 to ORD Saturday, October 14, 2006, 2:57 AM
Some people just never change. I thought my platoon mates would be more considerate, less selfish and learn how to offer help voluntarily once they come here. How naive and wrong I was. It is no wonder that I have developed a kind of disgust towards those individuals.480 to ORD Sunday, October 08, 2006, 11:12 PM
I never knew rubber bands stuck between your teeth could cause so much pain. It made the gum sore and painful so much that eating becomes quite a chore. I have to spend like twice the usual amount of time for a meal. Well.. thats for the first few days. The pain is still there now but Im getting used to it.Anyway, this week had been a eventful one. We had a Mooncake festival barbecue on tuesday, followed by 2 days spent in Suntec City to do some preparation for 6'Div dinner. Coming to think of it, our batch was involved in quite a number of major events (NDP 2006, IMF world bank meeting 2006). It kinda make our army life more interesting. Blah.. blah I dont know what to blog about this weekend. Brunei trip is coming soon and our CSM announced that he would be taking over 5BX every morning in order to toughen us up. It wouldnt be 5BX anymore. We called it MmBX (Maniac monster). I dont know if I can survive there. Or survive till then. =X 485 to ORD Monday, October 02, 2006, 4:09 PM
Went for my second dental appointment today. I got the shock of my life when I heard that the surgery is going to involve some risks. I always thought that it would be a simple one to just align the jaw. The rare implications that could arise includes loss of control of certain facial muscles and stroke ( I was shocked by this one, at the same time it amused me too). Haha I never thought that getting your jaw fixed would result in something so serious.Yea so its kinda confirmed. I was told that I would be wearing braces for 1 to 1 & 1/2 years, followed by surgery (will be hospitalised for 4 to 5 days) and then continue to wear the braces for another 6-9 months. In fact, the treatment commences today. My dentist placed 8 rubber bands between some of my teeth. Its kinda irritating. Well.. its something like food stuck between your teeth. Ah.. and Im gonna lose 6 of my precious teeth. Ouch! Never extracted a tooth since primary school. Anyway Im booking in tonight after a long week of off. Its kinda sad because I felt like a normal civilian already and its only a mere 2 months more to Brunei trip. 491 to ORD |
